1、To dwell with him in thoughts, or to remain
3、
I remember snatches, little moments here and there. The smell of cardboard and plastic; the way the boxes, shiny and slick, rattled while you walked them home. Twisting dials to answer questions and reveal the arcane symbols that would allow you to get to the game stored on those mottled, blue plastic disks. Adventure games were an adventure before you even got to play them. And then there was Beneath a Steel Sky.

The matte black box with the shiny silver detailing, the orange sky when you walked outside. You made maps while I sat next to you, trying to figure out the maze of screens, trying to remember where everything was. I wonder if you still have them? There was a strange, communal humanity to it - like I was watching a film where we both had a say in the ending.

I don't remember if we ever got to the end. You probably did, you were always more patient and methodical than I was back then. You got our dad's problem solving; A to B, and if that didn't work C, and D, and so on. I got Mum's anxious passion, mixed with something from neither of them that had already started scratching, even then, at the back of my brain.Beyond a Steel SkySo what of a sequel? I think this might be the first time that something that holds genuine nostalgia for me in the gaming world has come back round. I know the names, and the beats, of plenty of other games from the era; but reading Alan Moore comics, laid on one of our creaking beds, while you explored a future we'd never imagined before, holds a special place in me.

There are words used to describe the sequel that worry me a little - open world, sandbox - the gewgaws of a modernity that took the grey of Beneath a Steel Sky but none of the joy. In the early days of gaming there was less delineation between playing on your own and playing with friends - we only had one computer, so we took turns. If there was nothing on TV, we'd slip into a different world on the other screen we owned.

Now there's so much demand for entertainment, so many ways that it can be delivered to us; so many screens. The dream is that Beyond a Steel Sky will understand those two boys huddled around a blinking CRT monitor; discussing, suggesting, arguing sometimes when things weren't going their way. It'll understand that the story on those clicking disks was only half of it - the adventure came as much from us as it did the game.

4、CHAPTER 2
You might remember Swipe Studios for their game Swipe Manager: Soccer 2018. It was effectively Reigns crossed with football management. Now they're back with a sequel of sorts, Woofball Manager. It looks to be the same concept, except with 100% more dog footballers. It's available now for iOS.

If you're unfamiliar with the preceding game, Swipe Manager. It was basically Reigns mixed with football management. You played as the manager and were faced with a number of scenario's where you'd swipe left or right to make your decision. The choices you made could affect one of four bars that included fans, board, team and the press, with your aim being to maintain a happy equilibrium.

We reviewed Swipe Manager back when it released and weren't overly impressed, feeling the game felt a little too involved. Woofball manager looks fairly similar based on the trailer, with the same four bars you have to balance present here. But, could the addition of dogs change this? It certainly can't hurt I'd say, particularly since it brings a plethora of dog puns with it.

1、
Boris and the Dark Survival made its way to Android devices earlier today and brought with it a new lens to the Bendy series of games created by Joey Drew Studios. You play the role of Boris, Bendy's beloved wolf companion, as he traverses a creepy cartoon studio.

Your goal is to gather supplies and learn more about the mysteries of Joey Drew Studios. Beware though, as the Ink Demon will be hunting you down as you explore, so there's no time to chill out and take in the everything you see.

However, you will need to get some food to help refill your stamina to keep you moving at a fair pace. This will require you to, yes, stop and eat, which could leave you vulnerable if you aren't careful out there.

Similar to other games in the Bendy series, the game showcases its signature nostalgic aesthetics, in a classic cartoon universe. What's different however is the camera angle, with Boris and the Dark Survival featuring a top-down point of view, giving you a unique vantage point.

One thing that's interesting is that the studio is randomly generated, so no two experiences are alike, and it adds to the potential replay value. This means that you may discover new items and secrets in each run through Joey Drew Studios but of course, you still need to watch out for that hungry Ink Demon.

There's no word on if the game will be released for iOS but it is available right now for Android and three other platforms. According to a tweet though, there's a good chance that the game will release for iOS devices while they finish things up.

Boris and the Dark Survival is available now through Google Play, and releases with $.99 stamped on its price tag, making it one of the most affordable games in the series.
Love a good narrative adventure?
