Update on March 9th at 14:36: After a slight delay, the game's now available on iOS as well. Happy adventuring!
Just as we expected, Siege of Dragonspear, the expansion turned standalone of classic RPG Baldur's Gate is available now. It explains what happens between Baldur's Gate I & II.
After a moment's struggle, Leslie regained a measure of self- control.

Vectronom is a rhythm-based puzzle game from German developers Ludopium that looks incredibly hypnotic, psychedelic and headache-inducing all at once. It's available now for iOS and Android.

The core concept of Vectronom is getting a little bouncy cube through increasingly difficult levels where you have to move in time with the beat, so you'll want to grab a pair of headphones for this one. The level around our cuboid hero will change with the beat of the music too, which means if you don't quickly get in tune with the soundtrack you'll find yourself a victim of death by gravity.

As you can see from the trailer below, it's not just the world that changes with the music, the colours also frequently switch with the beat as well. So it's probably best avoided if flickering images give you headaches or if you have photosensitive epilepsy.

At gamescom 2016, I got the chance to try out CCP's selection of upcoming VR titles. Some were better than others, but all were pretty awesome showcases of what VR is capable of.
Project Arena
The first, and best, game showed was a work in progress sports VR game, currently titled Project Arena.

Imagine Wii Sports, but in VR. You hold the HTC Vive controllers and throw a virtual dodgeball at another human player, while you can also bat your opponent's projectile back at them.

Dodging virtual reality balls while swapping your light shield from arm to arm by pulling the triggers feels like you're in the coolest sci-fi film ever, and is probably the most enjoyable VR experience I've had.
EVE Valkyrie
Valkyrie is developed by CCP's Newcastle studio, and is the most well known of the company's VR offerings.

You're in a ship and you shoot and it's... cool, but the fact your ship moves about means it's easy to forget than you can also use your head to look around - I often ended up just staring straight ahead and using the sticks to move, which defeats the point of VR.
EVE Gunjack
Gunjack was better than Valkyrie as it keeps you stationary, so you remember to actually, you know, look at stuff.

Enemy ships get pelted at you, you can grab powerups, and it has some badass cannons.

Though it is weird to look down and realise you're a mecha-pilot!

Galactic adventure Out There received its second in a series of Multiverse updates today, expanding the game with a new mode and other additions.

The new mode, titled Galactic Dusk, introduces a relentless modifier to your travels, turning every solar system you leave into a black hole. There's no turning back, only pressing onward into the unknown, so choose your stops carefully

While that mode may offer a tough challenge, the update also adds new technology that can assist your journey. The Stellar Embryo allows you to create a clone on an empty ship, essentially offering a second life if you perish.

Perhaps more useful is the Symbiotic Expansion technology that adds extra storage spaces to your ship, letting you to carry more oxygen, fuel, and materials.

The Multiverse 2 update is available now on iOS, and will also be coming soon to the Android and Steam versions.
Animus: Revenant(MOD)

Anyway, one of these titles, Next Stop Nowhere, is set to release this Friday.

The announcement came on Twitter yesterday evening alongside a thread that introduces some of the characters you'll meet throughout the game. This includes Serra, a former bounty hunter and criminal. There's also Beckett, a courier, and his ship, Cody, which has a highly developed AI personality.
Next Stop Nowhere is coming exclusively to @AppleArcade this Friday, 8/14!Seems like some introductions are in order... pic.twitter.com/rf15LQ0sFM— Night School Studio (@nightschoolers) August 11, 2020The game itself is set to be a road trip tale that takes place in space. After Becket meets Serra, he's thrown into an adventure he never would have expected since he'd always lived a simple life up to that point.

The story sees him and Serra darting across the galaxy as they try to save the former bounty hunter's son, Eddy. They'll come up against gangsters, bounty hunters and the other dangers associated with space. It'll be up to players to make the right choices and forge good relationships to ensure he survives. The developers say the game will have an intelligent conversation system where every decision will change your relationships and story.

Next Stop Nowhere comes to us from Night School Studio, who you'll most likely know from the likes of Oxenfree and Afterparty.
